How To Use

History Of Action Method Products
"Action Method" products were inspired by Behance's research of especially productive teams in the creative industry. Hundreds of individuals and teams were interviewed, and Behance chronicled the work habits and best practices of creative leaders. The paper products were initially designed by and for the Behance team as a way to stay organized. In 2007, at the insistence of friends who wanted Action Pads of their own, we expanded the line and made it available online and through select stores like the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco.

What started as an experiment became an entire line of products to help creative professionals boost productivity and make ideas happen. Today, the products are used by leaders across the creative industries, including freelance fashion designers, advertising executives, and entrepreneurs.

About Levenger's Circa System
The Levenger Action Circa is the result of a collaboration between Action Method by Behance and Levenger's "Circa" product line.

As Levenger founder, Steve Leveen, explains, "The basic idea of a disc-bound notebook has been around since just after WWII...As far as I know, Levenger is the first company to take the disc-bound notebooks and show the real potential of what could be done – because it’s not something that leaps off the shelf and people understand the benefits."

"It’s really kind of exciting to see how paper notebooks can get better and better, and dance with digital technology. It’s funny how we’re starting to use our notebooks a little bit more like computers, moving things around with fluidity. For instance, Tom Kelley at IDEO uses Circa notebooks to write his books. I mean, here’s a guy who lives design, and can have any technology that he wants, and he likes the combination of advanced paper technology with computers."
